The New Orleans Saints stretched their winning run in the NFL to seven games by beating the Atlanta Falcons 35-27.

Pierre Thomas scored two touchdowns and Drew Brees racked up 308 yards passing to set up the victory, while Jabari Greer returned an interception for a touchdown.

Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan struggled and was intercepted three times, however the Saints were not clear until the closing stages.

In desperation and with seconds left, Ryan threw an ambitious pass and Darren Sharper intercepted.

Touchdowns from Michael Turner and Kroy Biermann put Atlanta into a 14-7 lead after the first quarter, in which Thomas had ran in his first touchdown of the game.

Marques Colston, Reggie Bush and Greer scored touchdowns in the second quarter as New Orleans stormed 28-14 ahead, but when Ryan found Roddy White with a 68-yard scoring pass in the third quarter it was game on.

Atlanta could only manage two field goals in the closing 15 minutes though, and Thomas' second touchdown secured the win.
