Appleby unfazed by away crowd
Appleby unfazed by away crowd
Paul Appleby cannot wait to play the bad guy when he defends his British featherweight title against Martin Lindsay next weekend.
Appleby, the youngest ever holder of the belt, takes on Lindsay in the Ulsterman's own back yard in Belfast.
The vast majority of the Ulster Hall crowd will be cheering the challenger and booing the champion - but that would be music to the ears of Appleby.
"I'm actually looking forward to fighting away," said the unbeaten Scot, who will be making the third defence of his title in what is his 15th fight.
"If his crowd boos me and things like this, that'll get me more up for the fight.
"I'm looking forward to his crowd getting on my back a wee bit."
